The Runners' Runner: Dusit DFiT Fun Run for a hundred smiles

It was a simple run.

The Dusit Thani's DFiT 3Km Fun Run was simple in a way that it felt we were running among friends and family. We had many first time runners who knew that they were there just to try running and have fun doing it.

The runners who registered and paid online via www.RunnersRunner.com were conveniently assisted in securing racepacks with free gifts. Each of the paid online registrants also received two free gift certificates from Shui Traditional Hilot Healing worth P600 . Many thanks to Shui!

In the simple ceremony that preceded the race, we learned from the President of Operation Smile how the race would help kids with speech and aesthetic defects. We learned that an operation of the palate or lip can cost upwards of Php15,000 -- not a small sum for our indigent countrymen.

The run was able to raise enough money to sponsor at least 4 operations. Surely the kids who will receive these operations will have a huge positive turn in their lives.

Fun Run Race Organizer

I am very privileged to have experienced my first run with Runners' Runner taking care of everything. I learned that it could really be a hassle having to register on your own and get your race packs, singlets etc. Thankfully, I didn't have to go through all that.
